legacy of faith
Legacy is defined as “something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.” Legacies are all around us. We live in the light of those that have gone before us. We have received a great heritage of faith as followers of Christ.
But the question arises – what kind of legacy are you leaving behind? Join us as we journey through Paul’s second letter to Timothy to find answers to that very question.

 Living Your Legacy
 James 2:1-7

James was a no-nonsense apostle. As the half-brother of Jesus, he knew Jesus closely even though he did not follow Jesus until after his death. He became the leader of the church in Jerusalem and helped open the door to allow Gentiles to be part of Christ’s followers.
James gives us plenty of practical advice throughout his letter. Join us as we look at 8 passages in James and how they can apply to our lives today in the 20th century.

There is a world around us that needs to hear about Jesus. But does the Great Commission seem too big for us to accomplish? The ends of the earth can seem too far away. But what if instead of looking toward the ends of the earth we looked at our family, friends, and neighbors around us? Could we make a difference in the lives of the people around us? What if we prayed with passion for the lost, pursued them with love, and persuaded them with the truth of Scripture? Could we change the world?
